WHAT IS MARKETING?
There is much more to marketing than you might think. While advertising prior to an event is important, marketing encompasses everything from the planning to the evaluation after the event is over. It is important to be consistent in your message through every phase of the process.
THE POINT
What would a woman gain from attending your group? What do you have to offer her? As representatives of Jesus Christ, we have the most valuable message in the entire world. In your marketing, seek to communicate the value of that message in a way that the pre-Christian can understand.
Also, take the time to assess whether your group is presenting the gospel in a way that accurately represents our Lord and clearly communicates with your audience.
THE PLACE
Is it appealing, inviting, and comfortable? Does it reflect the beauty of Christ to those who enter? Does it accurately represent who you are and the message you want to communicate to the world? A woman’s impression of your locale will influence her receptivity to the speaker’s message and her decision to return.
THE PRICE
While it is important to keep the price modest and affordable, it can be harmful to set the price too low. An appropriate price communicates that there is value added to this event—it is not simply a meal! It is a time of connecting with other women, enjoying entertainment, and most importantly, it is an opportunity to hear the life giving message of Jesus Christ. The women you invite will be more inclined to think this event is worth attending if the price is appropriately set.
THE PROMOTION
People must know about the event. There are three ways that you can promote your group.
