JOB TITLE

INTERNSHIP SUPPORT / RECEPTIONIST

DEPARTMENT

Leadership Development and Human Resources

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This is a full-time position shared between two departments. Part of this position assists the Internship Coordinator with clerical duties. Part of this position involves greeting visitors to the ministry, answering the main telephone line, and providing clerical assistance, as needed.

REPORTS TO

Internship Coordinator

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Follow the policies and procedures stated in the Stonecroft Ministries Staff Handbook.
  2. Provide administrative support to the Internship Program.
  3. Compile intern notebooks and maintain Intern Production Schedule.
  4. Send correspondence and materials to prospective interns.
  5. Work with college web site postings for intern program.
  6. Maintain intern tracking and databases.
  7. Manage intern survey process.
  8. Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor
  9. Be proactive in assisting with daily intern activities, including backup for Coordinator.
  10. Order Ministry Department supplies.

RECEPTIONIST RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Answer all calls promptly and pleasantly during regular office hours; connect caller.
  2. Greet all guests with a smile and verbal welcome; connect with appropriate staff.
  3. Assure that after-hours phone is delegated each day.
  4. Maintain organization car book, distribute keys and mileage records.
  5. Create and distribute Grapevine.
  6. Order supplies for front desk.
  7. Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A personal and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ which is naturally communicated through word and actions.
  2. Team player with good organizational skills.
  3. Flexibility to adapt; good problem solver.
  4. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  5. At least 2 years of college.
  6. Good communication skills, outgoing personality, and pleasant phone manner.
  7. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, basic knowledge of Outlook, and ability to quickly learn new computer software.
  8. Minimum of one year experience in customer service/receptionist duties.
  9. Previous experience with an intern program preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Ability to see, hear, and speak clearly.
  2. Ability to use keyboard and telephone.
