Lead Web Developer

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
This full-time position is responsible for the development and maintenance of Stonecroft’s websites to enhance the mission and vision of Stonecroft Ministries. This person will lead and be a part of Stonecroft’s web team, providing information and resources for Stonecroft leadership and the general public.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the development, monitoring, and maintenance of Stonecroft’s websites and provide working leadership in the Web Department.
- Follow the policies and procedures stated in the Stonecroft Ministries Handbook.
- Follow the policies and procedures stated in the Information Technology Policy & Procedure Handbook and the Design Manual (under development).
- Ensure consistent brand with other communication outlets.
- Serve as a liaison between web department and other departments at Stonecroft, with emphasis as key liaison between Communications Team and Information Technology Department.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and manage progress of projects.
- Assist in the development and implementation of web projects.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Communications Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A personal and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
- A servant spirit and commitment to help staff and volunteers do their jobs in the most efficient manner, modeling the example of Jesus Christ.
- Requires an associate degree (minimum) in a related field of study AND/OR at least five years of experience as web developer or related area (samples, demonstrative portfolio of website building requested).
- Training and intermediate expertise (minimum) in the following: Macromedia Suite 8, (Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.) HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, JAVAscript, and Adobe Photoshop. Basic experience with XML, AJAX, ASP, ASP.Net preferred.
- Basic experience (at least one year) in supervising others or team leading, conducting meetings, and achieving collaboration and cooperation between personnel from various departments.
- Basic ability to work with Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Basic ability and experience in training others (software, applications, etc.).
- An understanding and implementation of the creative process workflow and the ability to nurture creativity in others.
- Good organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize, set, and meet deadlines and multitask.
- A desire and willingness to keep informed and educated about web technology and applications as well as an ability to analyze how it can be best used to accomplish the mission, vision, and goals of the ministry.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in the handling of all ministry data.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Unimpaired vision for computer work.
- Ability to comprehend verbal directions from others.
- Ability to use a keyboard and mouse and sit for extended periods of time.
- Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
