Special Events Production Coordinator

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This is a full-time position with the responsibility for coordinating many aspects of the planning and production of Stonecroft special events. It also involves coordinating with other teams to effectively market these events.

REPORTS TO

Special Events Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Follow the policies and procedures stated in the Stonecroft Ministries Employee Handbook
  2. Participate in the planning and establishment of goals and objectives for events
  3. Serve as principal liaison with various departments regarding support of events – Marketing, Web Team, Audio Visual, Guest Services
  4. Coordinate assignments with other staff or volunteers in support of program – i.e. hospitality, decorations
  5. Coordinate preparation of agendas for special events programs
  6. Book some speakers and musicians for special events.
  7. Oversee speaker care and travel arrangements
  8. Oversee special events production staging of on-campus events with facility liaison
  9. Develop Power Point presentations when needed for special events
  10. Manage exhibitor relations and set-up for Stonecroft events
  11. Supervise interns when assigned to Special Events Dept.
  12. Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A personal and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ which is naturally communicated through word and actions
  2. Service-oriented
  3. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  4. Good negotiation skills
  5. Team player; good people skills
  6. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, and ability to quickly learn new computer software
  7. Experience in web site navigation
  8. Organizational and problem-solving skills
  9. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments
  10. Two to three years of event planning experience
  11. College degree preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Ability to see, hear, and speak clearly
  2. Ability to use keyboard and telephone
  3. Ability to drive a vehicle
  4. Ability to travel by car, plane, and other transportation without assistance
